How do I know it?
Because I grew up with you guys.
Before I was 2 years old I was already living with Spanish students like you, there were hundreds of them!
I lived with my parents in the center of Barcelona and we were a host family for several academies, so I learned to speak my native language while observing and learning, unconsciously, how people from all over the world did it.
No kidding, this is me in 1990, in my living room, watching these two French students in amazement.
I didn’t know it then, but being a Spanish teacher was my destiny. Because I have hardly any childhood memories without students and, above all, because I am passionate about it. Teaching my language is a vocation that I have literally soaked up from my early chidhood.
But let’s not get melancholic, the fact is that if you feel identified with any of the above points, I CAN HELP YOU.
My name is Laura and I am a Spanish teacher for foreigners and DELE examiner, accredited by the Cervantes Institute, and my goal is that you speak Spanish fluently, confidently and without leaving home. Ah, and enjoying the process!

I believe that “el tiempo es oro”, that means, that we should not waste it on things that are not worthwhile.
That’s why my classes are for those who want to speak Spanish and “van a por todas” (go for it).

As you can see, Spanish is a very rich language, especially in colloquial expressions and idioms.
